Wells-next-the-sea

Having navigated the wash area and wonderful nature reserves toward Kings Lyn I work my way round the top of Norfolk.

Lincolnshire and Holderness are flat but do not prepare you for the wonderful sky scapes and light I am presented with here.

My first port of call is Wells-next-the-sea and I wondered where the ‘to’ went as well.

The harbour area is dominated by two Harbour Master Huts and then the highest grain store delivery door on legs Ive come across so far. Much as I tried I could not make this painting make sense. Its not often but I did decide to abandon it eventually and concentrate on the harbour Huts.

I was very pleased with the outcome of these paintings and the Oil version was accepted for the ‘New Light’ Exhibition in Barnard Castle where it found a lovely buyer….always good.
